While this won't win any trophies in display and processor power, it would in battery life, build quality, durability, and upgradeable LPDDR5 RAM, which are hard to find in this form factor and at this price. This might be among the best portable business-oriented laptops you can find at this price.

I don't think the RAM (LPDDR5X) is upgradable

It is, as it says SODIMM.

NOTE: The memory is integrated on the system board and is not upgradeable.

Manual shows SSD can be replaced though https://www.dell.com/support/manu...lang=en-us

Couldn't access the Dell page earlier as it was showing error, so I went with what B&H said and they stated it to be SODIMM which is upgradeable.
Thank you for providing a working link and the correction. Everything else I mentioned still stands.

To use with a monitor, do you use one of the USB C ports since there is no HDMI port?

seems to be the same display specs as the $349 i5 at Walmart on here that I returned partially due to the screen. otherwise it would be really appealing.

Yep, This one is 300 nits, 45%NTSC, which is shite for media consumption.

I have a 2014-vintage Latitude E5440. It is a GD workhorse and has been with me around the world and in some real sh*thole countries and situations. It is almost sentimental. Its time this ol' girl is given a proper burial. The only thing I've done to it was upgrade the RAM in 2015 and went to 1TB SSD like six years ago. Zero issues but its old and apparently not compliant with Win11. Would I see an "improvement" going to this listed "deal" that you don't speak high of? I'm looking to spend under $800.

You can buy a lunar lake chip for "under $800". Why go with an underpowered Arm chip?
