So the other deal was way better, right? Since it came with a heatsink and was ITX?

Two different purposes. That motherboard is ITX and does not have SATA III Slot. Also, you are restricted to the performance of the Cooler they have provided. For very small form factor builds, that is fine.
On the other hand, this has two extra SATA III Ports for more storage and you can mount any high performance cooler of your choice, resulting better performance as that can help AMD PBO to auto overclock higher. If you are building a Mini Tower type of build, want to add a lot of storage and highest performance for the CPU, this one is better suited.
Frankly, neither is better than each other but offer advantages for different use cases.

Yes, it uses same BIOS as the ITX ones and it has been already posted in multiple reddit forums that it has received over 4 BIOS Updates and now supports the following:
5600 MT/s Memory Support. Even 6000 MT/s worked on some people's machine.
AMD Memory Curve Optimizer
AMD PBO For Auto Overclocking.

It already has USB 3.1 Header which you can use to expand. On top of that, You can leverage the X16 Slots on this. I know many people, adding different PCIe Expansion cards to run multiple M.2 SSDs. You can leverage that slot for expansions. This does not have any other PCIe slots

But what's the maximum wattage on this, if it's 100-120w like the other board, it won't clock higher no matter what cooler you put on it.

I have this board paired with a Stealth Assassin and a 9070 XT.
Here are some performance metrics.

If you enable PBO, and can keep the temps down, then it can. It can sustain only 100W in the itx boards with their integrated cooling, boosting up to 120W for few sec. That can be addressed here by using a powerful CPU Cooler.

Bought this board. love the performance. super easy setup despite what people were saying online. there are 2 SATA III connectors on the board, and I have used both a Corsair air and AIO liquid cooling with it LGA 1700. under load it gets up to 70C Max And usually stays around 58-62C.

I understand the trepidation around Minisforum. their support is none existant. But the product works just as advertised.

one downside is that it doesn't have a PCI-E x16 5.0, would be nice to squeeze the most out of the latest gen graphics cards.

the other is the lack of support for USB-C on the board. you have to give up a USB connector and use an adapter if you want to use the USB C port on many cases for example. For some it's a bigger issue than for others.

Suryasis, massive thanks to you for your finds and the information. Your tie and effort is much appreciated. Picked up the board. Now if anyone has recommendations for a case and a cooler, that would be great. I guess I should mention that I'm not a gamer, but a computer programmer. Aliexpres is fine as I'm abroad at the moment anyway.
