This is a controller for a motorized telescope mount. Very niche product for sure, and main reason I think someone would buy is if the one that came with the mount broke or got lost.

Im surprised this neesh product hit FP

Makes me question what the criteria are for FP worthiness

Not trying to talk bad about astronomy, just dont think there are a lot of people that are into the hobby

the only thing this really is good for is the usb port on the bottom. this allows you to connect it to a computer and then have it autotrack objects in the sky allowing you to take 200 pictures during the night. you can then layer all the pictures together. only certain mounts support this tho.

I agree this is VERY niche but I happen to be that person. Bought a telescope several years on sd. https://www.celestron.com/product...-telescope I've had more trouble getting the thing to stay connected to wifi than I cared to deal with and finally put it up until I bought a controller for it. Thank you for reminding me I needed to get this when it was on sale.
