Yeah, you take back panel off, take out the old capacitor, insert a new one, solder it and screw the back back on. The solder doesn't even have to be neat or accurate (like a Playstation mod)

Hmm. You made it sound so easy. I found this video: https://youtu.be/in5PffAofpE?si=B0uEaBVQca9T49Dh

I might just give it a try.

I've had a Hisense Roku U6GR5 TV for 4 years and it's worked flawlessly as a bedroom TV. You get what you pay for though.

Beware! Hisense Roku TV have a known issue of power cycling due to a faulty transistor. Please review the Hisense Reddit thread before buying them. I have a few and one of them that I've had since COVID started restarting for no reason. This is common. I'm not an electrical engineer and haven't used a soldering iron since middle school when I was the industrial technology manager so I'm not confident in doing the repair. There's other issues in the thread particularly with the ones made in the last few years. There's also a discussion of Toshiba being a rebrand of Hisense since the acquisition. Please do your research before you buy Hisense Roku TVs. Thanks!

I have a Hisense H9G that is having screen issues after 3 years. Will never buy this cheapo garbage again.

Funny, I've had 3 LGs, a Sony and a Samsung that all had problems within 2 years

My Hisense sets are running smoothly. Only had to replace a 15 cent capacitor in one, and it's been going for 3 years since

I have the same model and it's good for the price. The picture got weird with some HDR content though.

I just purchased this about 2 weeks ago for $218. Not even worth it for a $4 difference. My last Hisense was a 55" TV and it lasted 8 years. I think I paid $400 for it.

I'll be honest, I've have two of these TVs for over 5 years and they're still as perfect as the day I bought them.

the picture quality is great, I don't need the super expensive crap, as long as the picture looks good and my games look good, I won't complain.

I'm considering buying a 3rd to have in my garage while I work on cars

I will never have another Hisense TV in my house, even if it was free.
said the same thing after a 58 lasted only 20 months then I got a 55" Google TV Hisense from target for $94 and I couldn't pass it up, it's still working well and the picture is better than my Vizio 65

Funny, one of my twin boys tvs died. They both have a Hisense 50" Class 4K Ultra HD HDR Roku TV - 50R6D. Working fine since 2017. The only reason I can think it went out because of the numerous rolling brown outs, but it was on an APC battery/surge. Also it could be due to age. Finally another factor is it was barely used lately due to him being away in school. Oh well, seven/eight years is a great run. Paid 298 a piece from Sam's Club. Wonder if warranty is still good… lol

I'm confused. Do you like them or not?
