These are amazing as a replacement for the standard nozzles that come with larger bottles of indoor / outdoor bug spray. You'll never go back to the standard spray wand once you have one of these.

Most modern cars have anti-siphon fill tubes will block a hose. But I have used this specific wand to siphon out an overfilled radiator overflow tank.

Yeah new cars block siphons, but that doesn't stop thieves. These guys just crawl under, cut the fuel line, stick a bucket or jug under, and let it pour. Super risky, half the gas gets wasted, but they don't care — quick grab and gone. Anti-siphon is moot at that point. This happened to a neighborhood down in South San Diego. Cluster of cars with the above damage.

More related to this deal - I have 2 of these but I find myself mainly using the Craftsman rechargeable electric sprayer with wand I bought from ACE hardware when they were on sale for about $25 - excellent - the wand versatility was worth the money by itself.

Think this would work for sucking out engine oil from the engine bay instead of crawling under the car to unscrew the bolt?

YMMV. This wand is $11.48 at the Lowes near me.

Can vouch for the convenience factor. I've used it with 4 different lawn & garden chemicals. Takes me 1/4 the time to spray weeds, bug killer, etc.

Is this better than the one that comes with the ortho home defense?

Very doubtful.
