From my experience with these wrist rests with porous materials.. your oil and skin will eventually turn it yellow and then if you run your finger nails through it, all the trapped materials from your skin come up. It's impossible to clean.

I've never, ever seen that happen. I have been using one of these since 2021, and aside from some gentle surface use, it's super easy to keep clean.

I'd genuinely suggest seeing a dermatologist. Your stuff shouldn't be turning yellow upon prolonged contact.

I purchased one of these and returned it because I was disgusted how low quality this is. It feels like a cheap and flimsy piece of foam. Get the Hyper X one if you want a quality pad.

I was using it for over 8 years. I was the very first few people who were testers for this product before it was released to the market. It was yellow-ish because of years and years of built up gunk.

it's also black. not sure how ya'll find yellow in black. been using mine for 6 years...it's a little discolored (less black) where my palm sits. I wipe it with a damp cloth once in a while. still holding up great.

Ew indeed, but the texture of this wrist rest is something you'd find in an exfoliator pad. It rubs dead skincells from your wrist 🤷 ♀️. My new wrist rest is pleather and doesn't rub my skin off the same way as the GG one.

This right here. Then again, look at some photos of people's workspaces. They're not always.... clean. So when they say their stuff is yellow, it could be from nicotine usage. A friend's clear cell phone case was practically dark yellow, from smoking alone.
