Looks very basic, one of the reviewers did mention upgrading the controller for 50 bucks so that might make this deal better. Also might be great if you have limited space or like to take a smoker camping with you.

Maybe it was wishful thinking, but at first I thought it came with a full-size smoker and a portable baby one as well

Alright, price is showing up correct for me this time... going to pull the trigger with the expectation of doing some DIY upgrades based upon some Youtube reviews.

I got one for Father's Day and have used it a few time.

It's my first venture into pellet grills, and I've done ribs, chicken and pork tenderloin, all were very good.

It's on the smaller side and not the thickest of steel, but it does work as expected. I picked up a pair of probes for $10 that takes all the guess work out of cooking.

So, if you don't need bluetooth or searing (the only thing I really miss), this is worth the $237.

Just a heads-up but after having pellet grills for years (and abusing them big time) one of the consistent issues I've had is the bottom of the grill rusting out and/or the igniter doing so because of ash buildup. If you can find a pellet grill that has a convenient and easy way to dump ash it will not only be a huge time saver but your grill will last forever.

I got this couple weeks ago. I'm used to these cheaper knock offs and they work well for me. My last asmoke burned itself down likely due to poor ash management. It's real pain and mess to get to the burner on these. Like the other poster, an ash drawer would be nice to have but not typical at this price point. No need to update the controller if you don't need wifi, I never really cared for the wifi as it's basically worthless if you're smoking at a campground or somewhere else remote.

also note this is the portable model, so the legs are short. I don't really care as it's more of a set and forget and not like I'm flipping burgers for extended period.

I vacuum that section almost every time I use it with a shop vac. The wheel rusted off before anything else and that was a Traeger.

Oh wow - I've not heard good things about Traeger grills in a while. I believe they are made in China now. I bought one from Costco and it caught fire during the second cook I used it. Somehow the pellet feed had a back draft and literally caught the grill on fire. I took it back to Costco and have not tried one since. Hopefully the grill is still working for you albeit it's stationary now that the wheel rusted off.

I have had this exact pellet grill since early '24. I've probably gone though 200lbs of pellets so far. Great little grill. I've done pork butts, ribs, steaks, burgers, chicken, beans, cheeses, even a green bean casserole and an apple dump cake. Everything was exceptional.
People are scared of the Chinese name, I get it. But it's basically a clone of one of the Traegers and a good one at that. Never had an issue with it.
The biggest downside is the size. I did two smaller pork butts at once and they fed 12 people with some left over, but you're not getting more than like 6 steaks on this thing. Forget doing meats and sides at the same time in most cases. It's also pretty low to the ground. My set up is nice because it sits on my deck and I stand on the ground for the extra half foot. You're basically bending over otherwise.
