Some may have the standard edition free via Epic Games Store back in December. The Ultimate Edition includes two expansions (The Foundation, AWE), Expeditions End Game Mode and Photo Mode.

I remember getting this game for free and loving it so much I ended up buying the DLC at full price. Definitely worth $3.99 for the ultimate version. It reminds me of Infamous with the leveling and getting stronger. Story and atmosphere are amazing, along with the combat. Watch a trailer, definitely worth $4.

The standard edition was given away for free on Epic twice. It has ties to Alan Wake.

Amazon Prime accounts may have collected it via Twitch Gaming to their GoG account back in November 2021

got this and i only used for benchmarking lol probably would play better than AW2 since it's more action focused but KCD2 story is excessively long

I think the prime giveaway was the ultimate edition, too. I have it in my GOG library.

I have Ultimate Edition from somewhere (in Steam) - believe standard was in Humble Choice and not sure where the upgrade came from

$4 is dirt cheap IF the genre is for you: it's more story heavy than the looter shooter/skill tree game I hoped it was. Combat didn't hook me and found it to be more eye candy than fun gameplay. Still, not a bad FPS that's got a twist

Great value if you like story and shiny graphics. Would be easier sell (for me personally) if gameplay was a little more fluid and supported more build variety

There should be an invincibility mode in the options. Turn that on in the bs parts and off when passed.

Seen this game being a recommended buy at the $4 on multiple diff websites especially on Monday which was when I bought my copy. Although, I own a copy on the Epic Games store, I always want have an equivalent option to download on Steam.
