This is delivering to me today, used the addition new shop Samsung app user $50 off $500+ coupon. After downloading the app it takes another week before the coupon code can be activated.
FYI. - Samsung EPP is also the same price at $700.
On a side note, can anyone comment on whether a Macbook M3 Pro is able to drive this monitor at its effective resolution?

My Mac Mini M1 runs a similar Samsung model 49" monitor (120 or 240 hz) at full resolution no issues.
I don't know who's downvoting you for providing useful information.
Most likely the OP... but its OK lol
Most people that post VA panel "deals" don't like to let people know it's a crappy panel.... so they leave out the "VA panel" and include ALL other specs LOL... it's funny
The oled version was $600 at Costco but I didn't get it cuz I deal with static content (Split screens etc...) for hours all the time...so here is hoping for the mini-led to go $600 or close to it.
The Odyssey series seems to be lottery and I don't trust their warranty based on past experiences so I'm more wary on buying Samsung things and looking at the LG version but they don't have a mini-led variant super ultrawide.

The LG Partner store has it for $530 (or thereabouts). 10% off promo code LABORDAY brought mine to ~$505 OTD. I have one coming Tuesday. I'm currently using the MSI OLED 49" $680 Sam's Club deal that was on here a few days ago. Will compare the two and see which one I like better, returning the loser.

I've had this monitor, and when it failed (after about 2 years), upgraded to the OLED version. Night and day difference.
if you're going to invest that much desktop space for a 49" Ultra-Wudw, do yourself a favor and get the OLED - its breathtaking. And text is plenty clear, dont let the nay-sayers convince you otherwise.

I'm torn between the MSI and Samsung too. Are you doing any productivity on the MSI? The PPI is my main concern. I'm not worried about the burn in since I'd be buying it from Best Buy and it has a 3 year warranty.

Yep. Multiple web browser monitors + e-mail + Teams + Spotify. Also did some Adobe Premiere + Photoshop.
I'm coming from ~10 year old Lenovo 23.8" QHD LED monitors...so it's a notable upgrade.

LG has a 45" 200hz VA non-led for $600 atm with better reviews on amazon than the g9
