Some AE cards offer $50 back of $299 or more HP purchase. (currently expiring Oct)
Chase cards requires $799 or more for $50 back

And you can sign up for HP email and get $20 of $65 purchase.

If you have edu email, you can create an edu account and save you a few %.

Sometimes, HP would send you a 10% coupon code for $599 purchase or more,
but so far I tried the code on many systems and none of them works.

I tend to keep all my old laptops. The old ones just have Ubuntu installed.
So, I have a number of laptops around.

I have a hard time to justify buying another laptop unless it is really good deal. I just keep on browsing.

Aren't OLED screens power hogs?
And per HP no touchscreen and no slot for a second ssd drive.

The X Flip at Best Buy if you need a touchscreen and/or the 2-in-1 convertible form factor. Or if you want the brighter screen. Otherwise, might as well save money and get this one for less (especially if you get some kind of HP cashback via your credit card).

Personally, I'd just go for the Best Buy deal for mere $50 extra to avoid any future regrets.

Ffff. If they did this on the 14inch , it would be PERFECT.

This is like, an inch off from giant gamer laptops. Bout 2 lbs lighter. Still kinda ginormous.

Hey, how's the LG Gram from the Costco deal ($500) working out? Do you like it?

Yes, works great. Granted, I just use it for basic browsing and video watchign needs.

My $120 deal is still "pending" that one was more than I needed. $450 for this looks good. Not desperate for a new PC but it is more than a nice to have.

The problem right now is, we don't know if the 16" has a higher power 350 tdp setting.

The 350 in those 2in1 14 inchers, their attached GPUs are super slow, way slower than you'd expect because the chassis limits the power budget so much.

If we knew the 16 inch can push a little harder, I might take the risk, but, it's a risk still.

Whereas the Intel 226 and 256 seems to do well in the 14" chassis.

But of course intel gpu has crap compatibility with older games you might play on a kinda slowish computer.
