We got the AMD version of this, it was on sale over the weekend. While it's not the cheapest laptop, it is one of the least expensive that has almost no compromises for our use, if you're looking for a 14" laptop. (The only real compromise is the RAM, it's soldered and not upgradeable. A bigger SSD might be nice but might not matter for a while for us.)

Great 1920x1200 OLED screen
Nice backlit keyboard
Bigger than usual battery
USB C charging
Aluminum body
Good webcam
Good set of ports

Whether the pen is included seems to vary by model.

Sorry, yes, looks like no open box available at the moment. So it's just under the most bottom right key on the keyboard? I have an older Lenovo Yoga and that's where it is. Weird that it's not in any pictures!
Yes, under the right directional key. You can see it in reviews on the web.

I think I'll order a new one anyway and I'll keep checking to see if any OB inventory comes back in stock. My current laptop is a Lenovo yoga that I bought OB excellent back in 2017; it was practically brand new. Still a great machine, but I can't upgrade to Windows 11 and support for 10 is ending, so it's time to upgrade.

I also checked C-B offers from R-company and they have 5% for Best Buy. It's excludes laptops, but has an exception for laptops listed under "Top Deals". I checked the Top Deals section and sure enough, this Yoga 7 is listed there, so that's $32.5 back; not bad.

Title is wrong, it's an Core Ultra 5.

I think $650 is ok for this, the AMD version was $550 a couple weeks ago.

The real hot deal here is open box excellent for $508. Usually no where that large a discount for open box excellent. I ordered one of those with free delivery.

Where is the fingerprint reader on this?
Are you referring to this deal? https://slickdeals.net/f/18537043-lenovo-yoga-7-2-in-1-16-fhd-ips-touch-ryzen-7-8840hs-16gb-lpddr5-512gb-ssd-649-99
Looks like that one is IPS rather than OLED. Granted, it is 16" which I think is the perfect size. Only looking to upgrade if it's OLED though.

EDIT: Oops, misread your comment. Looks like this one is $650.

No, the laptop in the OP had open box excellent available this morning for $508, but it's no longer showing any open box available. Mine is due to arrive tomorrow. This laptop for $508 is a very good deal, though some people may not value open box as much.

I was referring to you saying the AMD version was $550. I never put much weight into open box deals since they're so ymmv.

One thing to keep in mind is that the Intel model has better battery life than that AMD model according to Lenovo's own testing. By a not insignificant amount

AMD: WUXGA OLED models: MobileMark® 30@250nits: 14 hr Local video (1080p) playback@150nits: 22 hr
Intel: WUXGA OLED models: MobileMark® 30@250nits: 16 hr Local video (1080p) playback@150nits: 31 hr

Does anyone know what Wi-Fi modules are in each? Often times the Intel models has Intel modules and AMD models come with inferior Realtek ones.

Edit: The Intel model also has two Thunderbolt 4 ports with DP 2.1 while the AMD model is stuck with USB-C 10Gbps ports.

Wi-Fi 7 and BT 5.4 according to the official spec sheet:

Off the bat, yours is 16" vs 14" and yours has poor color gamut IPS panel while this has a nice 600 nit OLED with 100% DCI-P3 coverage.

I saw that but I was wondering who made the module. Intel vs Realtek , for example. I couldn't find that.

It looks like the module is a Mediatek MT7925. I found it by looking up the laptop's part number on the Lenovo support site, then checking under the parts section; it has a breakdown of all the parts. However, the only way to know for certain would be to search with a serial number.

Got my open box - excellent today. Everything looks brand new, battery cycle count is 1. Not a bad deal for $508!

What a score! Good for you.

I've been refreshing the page every hour hoping they restock; nothing yet. I bought it new, but it came out to just under $700 after tax, so I'm on the fence about returning it; didn't want to spend that much. I don't really need it right away, so I'm considering holding off until BF season. On the other hand, this laptop is exactly what I want, so I'm a bit torn.

Appreciate the input. Our daughter is happy with it, so no complaints
