These are totally fine chairs, but I hate the damn sheath. I have a similar chair with just a velcro band around it to keep it folded and it is so much easier than packing these walmart chairs back to the bag. This is the reason I'm not buying them anymore.
I have one of these chairs, and I found it pretty uncomfortable. I'm not a big guy, and this chair still squeezes my legs together from the sides with two aluminum poles that extend down from the front of the armrests.
When I have to use this chair for more than a few minutes, I thread one of the legs under the armrest. Is it more comfortable to sit that way? Absolutely. Are you going to look like an uncoordinated weirdo when you try to stand up and trip over your chair? Definitely. 😆
I suggest spending a few more bucks on a more comfortable folding chair.
I got one of these at half off, a previous return. I figure, for $5 how bad could it be? I ended up returning it. The tops of the two back posts dug into my back. I'm 5'9" and 145lbs.

Spot on about the carry bag I have used mine about 3 times now (taking good care of it) and the threads on the carry bag are already starting to rip and the seam at the bottom of the bag to open up.
I like your Velcro idea. However, for those interested, carrying 4 of these without shoulder straps or your own handles may be an issue (we have all been there, right??)
As for comfort, these chairs are what you expect. Good for watching a kids sporting event or on)off at the beach/park. I wouldn't suggest watching a 3 hour movie without standing, but "comfort" is certainly a YMMV thing.
For $8 though, you can't really go wrong....and can't really expect top notch products

I have this one and better heavy one from sams (20$). This is super light and easy to carry on your shoulder. Its not comfortable but light in weight. Not for sitting for an hour comfortably but still I prefer this over the heavy one. I carried one of those heavy comfortable chairs to watch fireworks, walked around 30 minutes to find a good spot and got shoulder and elbow pain.

I'd rather have shoulder pain than back pain but that's just me.
