Make sure you buy a CHOICE fare.

Sadly all my flights have doubled in price since I got them on sale.

This did not show up for my account (at first). The third time I returned to the special offers page it showed up along with another 'deal'.

If you look at the terms (can't link to it as you have to be logged in) it says:
"Redemption reservations and Cash + Points bookings qualify for this promotional offer"

So it seems yes!

Southwest always denied the companion pass after finishing the travel, cheating!

Would it count as a qualifying flight if you book through Navan and provide your rapid rewards number?

Looked at rebooking my flight for October, but the price is $150 more from when I initially booked it. And I'm not sure I'll take advantage of the companion pass. But Southwest is throwing out a lot of companion passes recently! What's with that?

They're trying to make up for taking away open seating and charging for checked bags until people stop talking about how they are the same as any other airline now.

Can the XL crowd use this for their ghost seats?

I'm guessing that has more to do with operator error and fine print rather than SW's "cheating." It's always worked for me.

They're worse. Airlines make seating smaller to get more seats in, then charge more for what was previously standard and now SW wants to charge more for larger people.

what's wrong with larger people having to pay more? sounds fair to me. it directly impacts resource required for service.
