Lg appliances are absolutely not recommended. Spent 7k on fridge, range, dishwasher 5 years ago and the only thing still standing is the dishwasher. Absolutely ridiculous. Lg customer service basically told me to kick rocks even though the dang appliances have unremovable 10 year warranty plaques. Whirlpool, Bosch. Everything else is just electronic companies posing as appliance companies.

Utter piece of junk -- A little over a year old and ice maker in door went out and bottom balls have melting in the tray (not exactly balls). Also had some produce freeze. Would never buy a LG appliance again. $400+ for a service call and still not working properly.

My 5 door LG refrigerator LMXS30776D did run flawlessly for 9 years 9 months. Linear compressor failed just 3 months shy of the 10 year warranty. Just went with a new one.

I've had great luck with LG. Only issue was a refrigerator compressor that went out at 4.5 years. LG Arrived next business day and replaced for no charge under warranty. I recommend.

I like their WashTower, don't come at me 🙈 They seem to know what they're doing when it comes to laundry units; idk about kitchen appliances tho

I have basically the same one except 5 years old. I have 2 other LG fridges. No complaints.

Terrible experience with an LG dryer. When I tried to get warranty service, I got the runaround, excuses, and wasn't called back until I gave up.

Unsure if they changed their design, but it is well known issues with the compressor. In fact there is a class action and LG extended warranty on their compressors. I have nice LG LC fridge which had compressor failure after about 5 years. It was replaced and so far is fine after like 3 years. Other smaller apartment size LG fridge which was bought in 2021, had compressor failure after 2 years. Again replaced since still under warranty. The replacements were done by the third party LG partner and to get appointment had to wait 4-6 days. Besides food going bad before noticed failure, waiting for appointment basically wasted all of the fridge contents. I wouldn't recommend LG, unless they fixed that issue. There should be better alternatives.

Don't get your hopes too high on Whirlpool. My $2200 fridge (under 3 years old) just crapped out on me due to the compressor dying... Very frustrating and expensive to repair or replace

Just buy HD's extended appliance warranty for 5 years and be done with it. Honestly anyone who buys an expensive appliance should also have the warranty, especially for any fridge.

Yep, my 4 month old whirlpool just broke the gear on the ice maker dispenser. Now have to take off work to have them come out and fix it Mad

I have an LG for about 4 years now and have literally never had an issue. The worst thing I can think of is the ice clings to the walls of the ice maker so won't dispense, but this only happens if we don't use the ice for a few days, and it's easy to loosen it up. I would definitely recommend the higher end LG fridges. That said, I prefer mine that makes spherical ice, perfect for cocktails. Dual ice is still nice regardless, because mine doesn't make a ton of normal ice, barely enough for a smaller yeti cooler with drinks.
