i have 2, the first one the only reason it was damaged was due to trying to force a 17 inch laptop in it until i could find a larger swiss bag (back in mid 2000's and 2010's they were basically the best quality bags under 100 you could buy)

the 2nd bag that was large enough to fit a 17 inch laptop -- yes it is still going on strong / i cannot confirm current quality as well... i have had my bag for ?? wow 16 years now i think....

that bag and a new one that i got from work as a gift for working so many years are the 2 main bags i use / if there is a best buy near you, could probably check if they still carry them as they were the main retail outlet that used to sell them as they were the best laptop backpacks at the time

Not likely the best for long-haul backpack. They're primarily office worker carry-alls. They work well enough and would last a long time if all you're doing for travel is going from home ->airport->hotel/office and back.
