seems like the max single port output is 65w which is not enough to charge laptop. my dell requires 90-100w minimum I think

It's been a very good, solid charger with two 100w ports rather than 65w.

Unlikely to be 90w minimum. 65w should work fine to charge it but your system can probably charge at those higher rates.
