Curious when the Chinese decided to market power outputs as "gears"? I bought a cheap Chinese spot welder that advertised how many "gears" it had, even though it has no mechanical parts at all. Weird.

not worth it, it's made of flimsy plastic. Telescopic sections do not hold its own weight it will collapse a little on its own.
It has a awkward position on/off switch control on the bottom that you have to remember to turn off or else it will drain the battery completely.

Lol, the number is so big, 15k+. They could have said 15600000 uAh. A truthful company would use Wh as the battery capacity.

Personally, I have zero need for this, just came to comment on the design. It looks like something that would have appeared in SciFi show/movie as being some "futuristic" light used by an away team on a planet. 🤔

Most power banks are rated in mAh, hardly un-truthful. Oddly it seems to be an industry standard. Even concerning the metric system, most smaller objects are measured in mm vs cm. You'll pretty much never see a laptop measured in centimeters even if all the dimensions are well over 10 mm.

mAh has been a truthful way of measuring capacity for longer than a lot of people have been alive, nothing wrong with it at all. Car batteries are measured in Ah as well, just gotta know what you are reading...
