Pros -
- Screen is great even though it's IPS. The 165HZ makes browsing really smooth and scrolling is pretty satisfying on long pages.
- I prefer Windows Hello to Fingerprint auth
- General Performance also seems pretty good (browsing, videos) from my limited use.
- Gaming performance is obviously going to be great since it has a dGPU
- Webcam quality is great
Cons -
- Have to use the included adapter to charge. I usually carry a high wattage usb c brick to charge all my devices, but my laptop doesn't charge through usb c (both ports).
- Maybe I'm just used to the unibody design of the Macs, but there is so much creaking and bending in this laptop. The entire bottom makes noises with the slightest movement. Opening and closing the lid also doesn't sound the greatest either with a bit of flex.
- The keyboard/trackpad layout is atrocious in my opinion. Since the palm rejection isn't great. I constantly have to move my left palm to let clicks and drags of my right hand to register.
- The keys are a lot smaller to fit the numpad on the right which is also tiny and typing feels cramped.
- The trackpad is large and glass, but is not haptic, and coming from a Macbook makes it jarring and difficult to use. This could be something that I can adapt to, but I would prefer a haptic trackpad.
- Gets quite hot during regular use like browsing with a Youtube video playing.
- As other reviewers have said, battery is terrible without a ton of quality of life reducing changes (e.g. reducing to 60HZ).
