I have one of these and while the internals are perfect for a low budget retro handheld, the ergonomics of this are horrendous. Trying to play with the joystick while holding the device will cramp up your hands after not very long. If you don't plan on using the joysticks then it's a great handheld, but there really isn't much reason to get this over a cheaper handheld if that's the case.

I sort of wish I would've waited and bought an RG35XX H instead, since it seems much more comfortable to play.

I've been debating buying this or the RG35XX h..... decided on the H. It comes in this Friday. I hope you're right, lol.

I've found in order to use the joysticks on most vertical handhelds, I need a grip.. either print one yourself or order from etsy. Unfortunately, that also means it's way less portable. Smilie

yeah I got a grip for my RG35XX on Etsy and it makes it way more comfortable. it ends up being my at-home device though while I find myself throwing my RG35XXSP into my bag if I need something portable

Is there a quick way to enable parental controls whereby mature games cannot be played, cause I'm giving it to younglings.

Don't install Mature games on it. Problem solved.

Haha okay. That'll take an eternity. Was hoping for a shortcut but I'm guessing there is none. BTW it was interesting to see so many games there when the listing said that games aren't included.

Generally the SD card these come with are trash. They probably don't advertise that games are included because they can't verify the quality of the ROMs on them.

If I were you, I'd clone the MicroSD so you have the OS and everything on it, then I'd delete all the ROMs on there and install just the ones you know are safe for the kiddos.

That's a good suggestion I missed. I will clone the mSD cards. I have had no time exploring these devices at all cause these seem to work out of the box. I will try removing what games I know might not be for them, but I don't even know many games in there. The library is nearly endless by my standard. Aging dad problems. Back in my heyday....... you get the gist!
Thanks again - really didn't think about the cloning part.
