Purchased 65 inch from Buydig sister company Beach Camera via Amazon and arrived completely destroyed. No extra packaging. Tried solving the problem with Beach Camera directly, gave them a week to figure out what to do. They never replied. All it took is one call - 5 minutes with Amazon for them to give a refund. So be aware. You could run into massive problems and not have anyone to help you

Got the 55" a while back, no issues in shipping, works just fine.

Couple things:
This is my first Fire TV, and I gotta say, it's definitely geared more towards smart TV and internet channel features. The remote doesn't have numbers to type in antenna channel numbers, so you find yourself scrolling through the guide. You can rewind/fast forward these antenna channels which is pretty cool. I'm guessing it downloads/buffers/streams antenna TV channel content.

This is reflective as hell! If the room you're in with this TV has any, and I mean ANY light, it bounces off it hard. I'll be investing in black out curtains because even the slightest amount of natural light from the slats can obscure the image. Not the best viewing angle either, but not the worst.

It's been years since I bought a TV, but damn is this real? If you don't use its built in smart feature the whole tv doesn't work?
That's not what I meant. The TV will not work if the OS software has a issue. It won't just disable the smart features, the whole TV will fail to boot

This company still makes TVs? Aside from the microwaves, all I remember from Panasonic are their bulky old fashioned TVs and VCRs from the early 2000s.

I understand what you're saying that the TV won't boot past the OS to change inputs (Amazon is a POS for not allowing us to default input on boot up, forcing us to deal with their intrusive ads before switching).

Is there a way to hard reset the TV, go through the initial setup (say a dummy or disposable email-password) and then turn off W-Fi immediately after the TV loads up? My Toshiba C350 is FireOS but thank god it's not my main TV but I'm curious how to fix in case I deal with a crappy update where it doesn't boot into the TV

Looks like you can change the default input, https://www.aftvnews.com/how-to-d...-and-more/
Can someone confirm they can do this with this tv?

They and Pioneer were the bomb in the plasma area so sad to see them like this.
I'm still rocking one of the last made 60" Pioneer Elite plasmas and as far as I know a good friend of mine still has his Panasonic plasma. Such nice and well built TVs. HEAVY though, at least mine is.

They have been making great displays for years, their Oled displays are one of the best. They just didn't sell here in the US until recently. They're probably just selling off these models since they are coming out with their new ones. I'm hoping Costco will carry their Oled displays!

This is your warning. Avoid Fire Tvs like the plague. It's a terrible system.

Been looking for a while for a 75" 120Hz and pulled the trigger on this one. The bonus gifts sealed the deal. Thanks OP!

I bought a used Xbox series x for $150. The onn stick is $40 but doesn't play blu rays. I don't like the built in streaming software. I'd recommend buying a used Xbox over a streaming stick.
First off, you got extremely lucky on the Xbox Series X for $150. They went up in price to $600 new recently, and sell for $400 used. A $400 used Xbox isn't a better alternative to a $40 ONN Google TV streamer for those that don't game. Also, the vast majority of people nowadays don't watch Blu-rays. Everyone streams everything now. Xbox is also very limited in its streaming app support, and many of them are buggy or straight up broken. I have an Xbox Series X and avoid using it for anything but gaming, as it sucks for everything else (Blu-rays aside).

Panasonic in the USA is horrible but in the rest of the world its a complete opposite as their manufacturing is done different

I was kind of surprised to see all the hate that Panasonic was getting, but I have been out of the loop on buying TVs for years. I am still holding on to my 42" Panasonic plasma TV. It looks great, just heats up the room too much when it is on. Sad to see how much Panasonic has fallen, as they and Pioneer made great TVs.

I still have a 42" Panasonic Viera plasma on a wall in my basement. The dang thing is at least 60 pounds and bent the first mount I tried to use. But it still looks surprisingly good for being from 2007. I'm keeping an eye out for a deal on a Panasonic OLED now.
