Terrible tool. Brushed, not 7-1/4 and underpowered.

You're trying too hard OP. Only thing worse than a bad tool is a reconditioned bad tool.

lol I've bought many reconditioned tools from FAO, they come looking and acting brand new, and all of them are still in service. they operate the same, just not as much $$

How is this a terrible tool? It has 4.6 stars on 4704 reviews on Home Depot, Amazon shows 4.7 stars on 1512 reviews. While I dont have first hand experience with this saw its probably great for someone that occasionally cuts 2x4s or something. Yeah it's no $400 fuel saw but not everyone needs one of those.... especially with this at $67

Try cutting a pressure treated 2x4 with this circ saw...I'll wait for your reply.

Bet I can guess at least 2 of the 4-letter words that you'll be yelling.

Deal! I dont need a saw, but I ordered one, will arrive Sep 2nd, I'll go get a pressure treated 2x2 and report back as soon as it arrives.

We have it. Kind sucks. Not much power. Perfect for a tool shed or homeowner.

Still we are pros and get away with it as our daily circular.

Just wish we had one with more power. We remodel; some framing. Nothing crazy. It works but we know there's better. We stall the thing on beams now and then which is dangerous. Good blades are crucial. We have private saws and they are so much better but don't want to wear them at work.

This is perfect for a homeowner though.

It will cut it fine. Why wouldn't it?

We actually get away with it every day. It's really not terrible with the right blade. It is underpowered though.

For all the reasons above, I would stay away too. Nothing worse than under powered where if it stalls you can hurt yourself. Finding quality blades at non standard sizes is a pita as well. If you're hard up for a circ saw and dont have the funds, do yourself a favor and get a corded one.

Same experience, would stall or bind up on treated lumber or 3/4 sheathing. Even with a good blade, just wasn't worth the hassle. Was lucky to find a hack and get the Fuel version and so much happier.

I love how sellers of these tools intentionally don't show you the motor side because it's a non-fuel version.
