This is a great deal for a generator that can run your whole house, including AC.

However, it's not an inverter generator and will be loud. Very loud. And certain electronics, such as solar systems, and some HVAC units, may not work with it. Just know what you're getting yourself into

amazon desc. includes a comment of "low distortion" then you go search it on westinghouse site and the spec is 23% which is horrible for any normal household. I wouldn't buy unless it's worth shortening the useful life of everything plugged in in your home.

Just a reminder this has dirty power compared to the next size up. The WGen11500TFc has ~5% THD while this is advertised at less than 23%. Great price though.

The specifications in this instance list Total Harmonic Distortion ≤23%. This is likely normal for a standard synchronous, non-inverter generator. Nicer synchronous generators can get sub 10% THD, while inverter generators are usually well under 5% THD. If the generator you are looking for does not state THD, it likely is very high and undesirable for sensitive electronics.

Non inverter, so it uses significantly more fuel on top of dirty power and super loud!!
