I am on my 3rd replacement pair of these under the lifetime warranty. They're very well made. I am just a very very heavy residential user, pruning about a mile of wooded borders around the property every winter.

I have those loppers and they are great at cutting things that people think you need a saw for.

I second this. Used them cutting freshly fallen branches and could get through 2in branches easy.

what's the difference between the Fiskars 32-Inch Loppers and the 25-Inch Loppers. I would assume the 32 inch to be pricier but looks like the 25 inch is more expensive. Why is that. Shouldn't the Fiskars 32-Inch Loppers be a better buy?

My favorite is still the old telescoping handle version. I also have a Power Gear (1?) model. I've heard concerns that the power gear version might be more susceptible to breaking due to twisting(?). Maybe the PG2 is designed to address that.

* Just checked, I have the 25" PG2 (L5525).

here to spread the lopper love too. I use mine to murder my crepe murtles every year, and my neighbors all hate me for it.

I have a pair of loppers that have been pretty good. Is there a good reason to buy the powergear loppers? Will it make my life easier?

I never liked the 32" one - you have to spread your arms very wide due to the gear action (which DOES work VERY well at cutting large branches).

I loved the 15 inch one, just wish it wasn't made of so much plastic. To be fair, the plastic pieces never failed, the metal blade was just getting chipped and a replacement was nearly the price of another whole unit.

I got the loppers a while ago but had a gardener so didn't need them much. One day he disappeared so I started pruning my trees. I was shocked at how much I could cut through with minimal effort. 1.5" branches were nothing.

These are great loppers, my only critique is that you have to spread the handles really wide to get around a large branch. Sometimes difficult depending on terrain. Other than that, cut great.

The telescoping can be annoying because they unlock & collapse so easily. But I agree the leverage is great, I've even cut through my chain link a few times without realizing.

I was about to grab this 32" model but just saw the Corona telescoping model on sale so going with that instead.
