They've really upped their game and are using higher end parts than first parties, but there are still some durability concerns on many models. I'm more of a Gamesir fan as they've held up well for me and fit my hand better.
curious when this happened, as the pro 2 I purchased earlier this year is not noticably improved from the sn30 pro I bought in 2018 or so. both have sticks that are not sensitive enough for FPS games and input delay even with updated firmware.
Not bad for a controller that just came out. The purple color is excluded
I pre-ordered the purple one. I have to say it is the most disappointing. 8bitdo controller I've ever used. We own eight or nine of them total in the house ranging from the basic wired ones to the OG version of this to the latest ultimate twos with TMR sticks and this one is just an abject failure in feel, responsiveness and connectivity. The thing just straight up, disconnects all the time. Even after updating the dongle and the controller to the latest firmware
My Microsoft XBox S controller was always far better at Bluetooth than the 8BitDo under the same conditions (soda can in the way, same 2.4GHz Wifi interference).
(False opposites happen when you press a direction, say, Down, and when you let go, it pops up and rocks all the way to the opposite side, triggering an unintended Up signal--very annoying for games like Tetris where you press Right, and then it issues a false Left.)
It depends heavily on what types of games you play. If you play Tetris or Contra or HellDivers 1, you will notice the false diagonals immediately. Other games are far more forgiving to the point where you might not even notice.
