Pre washed separately before using and I've never seen so much lint. Thought it would get better after that, but 4 uses in and they look beyond ratty and continued needing to be washed separately so as to not destroy my other non-fancy normal towels.
May have just been the batch I got, but it was 2 different colors--both shed equally/horrendously.
