I dusted off my login information (longtime SDer, back from FW days, but almost never post). I can confirm DACK often has great prices--but I'm here to make a record about their AWFUL practices. Even disclosing long ship times doesn't reveal the full story. On two occasions I've ordered things from them that shipped well beyond the projected window, both of which arrived damage and beyond the time-frame for chargebacks, and left to me to initiate warranty claims with mfg despite damage clearing coming from shipping (they don't repack often, so "shelf" packaging becomes mailed packaging. Hilarity ensues). A third order (and final strike) was one a multi-item order, when they claim all items being in stock, disclaimed their slow shipping, two months go by--surprise! all lies. Actually never in stock and then they couldn't acquire one of the items at the price I'd purchased it from and didn't want to honor the free shipping used on original order. Took another month for my refund to post.

Then they hid behind their religious leanings to urge me to forgive and forget.

Never again.

Here to post a similar experience when purchasing a firearm. Picked from a list of FFLs on file, then they say then need the FFL sent again - so arranged for it to be resent. Waited more than a month(after they receive the FFL) then reached out again, they then say it will ship in 10 days and it doesn't. Was able to get refunded but not happy with the process and the extra time spent easily exceeded any money potentially saved.

some really great prices on knives that never sell for these prices new, but based on the other SD'ers here I'm not sure it's worth the hassle to save a few bucks.

There was a time when waiting a couple weeks for something you ordered online was no big deal, but that time is long gone.

Got a bit to excited an ordered a Spyderco Para 3 Salt Yellow CPM. Under $100 shipped is a great price. It says its in stock, fingers crossed that is true. Lets see if I come to regret impulse purchase.

Thank you SD'rs for sharing your experiences. I decided not to order. Simply not worth the risk of a headache.

Yeah when it comes to gun deals I would rather stick with local or go directly from manufacturer, like PSA. Couldn't imagine waiting for a gun in the mail even from a big retailer like Bass Pro

My last experience with DACK was 2 different orders. Both took ~45 days from order to ship and will go from processing for 28 days to shipping at 29 even though it will take another 15 days to actually ship. Everything arrived and the price was good, but if you're impatient don't buy from them. Also checkout there policies on canceling/refunding. I'm pretty sure I remember it being something like you can't cancel/refund until like 30days without a fee. Could be wrong on that, but check it out to be sure.

You can do some research, there are definitely some bad experiences, but in general more often than not people get what they ordered.

The $85 PM3 LW in magnacut is so tempting, but I decided its not worth the risk considering how many bad reviews there are. Wondering if any company would do price matching?

I'd avoid this company. My experience has been similar to what others have posted here.
However, if you're dead set on placing an order:
  1. Is the savings really worth waiting 5 weeks (or more) for the item to arrive? 30 day wait, plus another 5 or so days for shipping.
  2. In stock doesn't mean "in stock". You could place an order and find out 30 days later that they can't fulfill it. (It happened to me.)

Look at their reviews. Expect to wait over 45 days to ship. I ordered items from them. A few items were missing. I emailed them about it. They said that they have video of them packaging the items and they're in there. I requested them to send me the video (even though I knew this was a lie) and they never did they just kept denying. Luckily, the chargeback warning got them send me my missing items. If they really had a video, wouldn't they send that instead of the missing items? Lying is not the best business practice

My understanding is that they are a Drop-Shipper. They may have items not in their hand, even when they said "in-stock." I have heard very mixed information about them; unfortunately most are negative.
I myself placed an order of multiple items about 2 wks ago (yes, I took a chance); I'm currently patiently waiting for all the items gets here.

Update on my orders in case anyone interested in it.
8/16/25: order placed
9/17/25: received an email: "your order is now processing"
9/24/25: received an email: "your order was processed for shipment"
then received notification from Fedex with tracker
9/27/25: received all items, all look legit.

I was able to get several items at significantly discounted prices. The wait made me feel like back to the phone order days. The wait was a bit uncomfortable, but definitely worth it; I'd say it was positive experience for me; but YMMV.

Another data point:

2 orders placed, 8/30 and 9/1 ($328 & $441)
10/14 requested update
10/15 received generic update about time-frames and asked if I wanted them to double check the status (duh, that's what I was inquiring about and think it was a delay tactic)
10/17 received confirmation that the orders are active and moving through their system. They would credit my shipping if I continued to wait. Told them that I would need the shipping +10% to wait longer.
10/22 received response back that they cannot do that. I requested the orders to be cancelled.

This is my getting a slickdeal greed in full effect. I read the warnings, thank you for posting them despite being disregarded. Trash company.
