I have both right in front of me. Zep is better hands down. Two biggest reasons are the zep bottle holds it shape while the DT one looks like it is gasping for air and collapsing. But the thing that bugs the ever living sheet out of me is the DT trigger is shaped in a way that you can't use the handle to rest it on a ladder or slip it on a pocket, it just falls off. The zep has no problem doing that. Might sound unimportant but it is to me. zep also sprays much better.

I have not tried the dollar tree bottles, but I am positive the don't compare to these Zep spray bottles. I've tried many other spray bottles and these Zep are top notch. Good spray patterns, nice grip, and they don't malfunction as often as all the others I've tried. If Dollar tree bottles work for you, fantastic, save yourself $1.00! I think the people who have purchased these before will agree they are defiantly worth $2.50 a bottle.

Great spray bottles!
Price is not as good as the sale for $11.99 in July, but close enough if you missed out on that deal.

Oh well. And I never tried zep bottles. I bought DT bottle once some years ago when it was $1, can't even remember why I needed it. But it worked just fine, and now it is proudly stored in my junk kitchen drawer Smilie

Great story brah. Long and short of it is Dollar Tree bottes suck and Zep bottles should last a lifetime. If you want something that works when you need it then these are a great deal. If you want something you'll never use and will just take up space...go to Dollar Tree.

They make a bleach specific bottle that costs more. Probably has viton or santoprene seals. They say you can use these for bleach and acids but expect premature degradation. they say shorten the life span on the back of the bottle. If you want to extend the life a bit if using bleach, you can always flush out the sprayer with water, but what a PITA that would be. I do it with my gallon sprayers and 12v pumps, but they cost a bit more.

I bought three of these bottles at Home Depot two months ago for deep cleaning. All three bottles broke from the neck. These are flimsy spray bottles.
