Note: this model does NOT have airplay - it DOES have a super cool lcd screen that displays the album artwork, song name, etc on it when you're playing music with it as the receiver though!

Note: The super cool display is only cool for a while. Don't purchase it for this cool feature alone. Better price for this will be $200.

Does the hdmi connection support sending the display out to a larger screen?

Sigh. All I want is Chromecast Audio. This is overkill. Hopefully something cheaper comes along.

Wiim mini, Aryllic S10+ or LP10, or raspberry pi zero 2w or regular rpi with picoreplayer? It's not $25, but we are long past those days... Unfortunately. If they released it now I'm sure they'd charge $45...

I don't see anything about that. What's your source?

This is a good device for giving your older hifi system modern functionality. Lack of built in Airplay is unfortunate, especially since some other lower priced Wiim products have it, but still a good deal if you need a digital preamp with DSP and ARC.

I actually like the little LCD. I have it set to display a clock unless I'm adjusting volume or changing inputs. The volume visualizers are ugly, unfortunately.

I'm sure a new model with balanced outputs and a bigger screen is coming soon for $100 more.

We got the WiiM player with AirPlay around a year ago and also bought the remote. It's probably the best tech purchase we've made in years for both quality and usability - highly recommend.

Thank you!! I am going to add that to my list. $80 isn't great, but palatable, given that It does so much more than a Chromecast Audio. I still use my CCA all over - just fear El Goog will suddenly stop supporting them.

I wonder if that LP10 can take the line IN and broadcast that via Chromecast? That would be wild. Added both to my wish list!

Can someone share their use case for this? Would it be appropriate for computer speaker use, like an old school sound card?
