From personal experience, this drive is a POS. Although never abused, the connector portion shattered inside of the USB port of my laptop. Had to pick out the shards.

And we haven't even gotten around to the overheating.. It runs hot even when idle and then increases under any sustained load, resulting in throttling. Come to think of it, "throttling" does not accurately describe it. The drive will suspend operation for a minute or so then run for 10-15 seconds then shut down again for around a minute then another few seconds of operation and so on.

Consider this to be one of the worst purchases ever. It is so bad that it makes me question whether to purchase anything from Western Digital / SanDisk because they released it and continue to market it.

If you want this form factor, get the Samsung Fit Plus. It may cost a couple of $$ extra but a no-brainer.
