Wow. I know it's free ship over $150. But $8.74 is steep!

My feelings are a little mixed on these.

Thin parts can slip under the dividers (washers, brad nails.) I fixed that with hot glue and it's fine. But parts can also slip over if you put the box in any position but horizontal, which is a little frustrating. There is quite a gap at where the divider would meet the edge, in particular. I could imagine a foam insert fixing this but the clear lid allows you to see parts without opening. It would defeat the purpose.

These are also probably smaller than you are expecting. In my work, I use a lot of really tiny parts that need quite small bins and it works great (except the aforementioned problems.) But don't expect it to replace your dedicated nut and bolt coffee tin.

That being said, I do like them and will continue to use them, but there may be better solutions out there.

How about this bigger one from Harbor Freight for the same price?

There are inserts available that make help resolve this issue. Quite a bit more than the case itself however. Below is a link for one. There are several other styles as well.https://a.co/d/j7L8477

That's nifty but yeah, kind of pricey and that one in particular isn't the highest quality 3d print. I don't use them for bit storage, but I do need to figure out my bit storage one day. I'll keep it in mind.

However, inserts still do not solve the problem of small parts slipping above which has been the larger issue. Again, hot glue solved the slipping under easily and cheaply, so I can't complain too much there.

I could keep the most problematic small parts in bags inside their storage, and I am wondering if that's the best solution because it can also be very hard to grab certain small parts out. I often resort to a magnet or tweezers.

The low was $ $4.50 but I paid $5.58 back in February. I use it for storing camera batteries, charger and memory cards/adapters.
