In July 2021, SK Hand Tools was acquired by Hangzhou GreatStar Industrial, a Chinese tool conglomerate company. don't buy these because you love SK products made in USA. different factory, different company.

dont care where they're made, they're still good quality and at an affordable price. I've bought several tools from them recently and the fit, finish and quality has been great for the price.

isn't the 5 piece set at Lowe's a better deal with lifetime warranty.

I think you have to be more specific about the set you are referencing to get feedback on this question. SK hand tools include a lifetime warranty (https://sktools.com/pages/warrant...exchanges/) though Lowe's may be more accessible to you than a warranty claim by mail - YMMV.

The SK pair is 10-inch groove and 8-inch slip joint. The Kobalt set has 3 additional tools but the variants that match the SK's are each 2-inch smaller tools. Relative value probably depends on your use case.

sad to hear SK is not a USA tool company anymore. they were my favorite tool brand. love their old tools especially ratchets
