Technically it is a 5.2.2 system but in reality you're not going to get a real Atmos effect from those top firing speakers on the R-635FAs.

None of these speakers are very good in this package but you do get a lot of them for the price. This would be a great upgrade from TV speakers or a sound bar.

Wait. I have a question. The website is advertising this as a 5.1 system. however it comes with a 7.1 head unit and I thought the R-625FA are the atmos speakers. wouldn't that make this a 7.1 system?????

it's a 5.2 system no atmos
