I also had bought the AOC CU34X2GP and that model was horrendous. Absolutely everything bad you hear about VA panels, that monitor had it. Smearing, poor viewing angles, color way off, etc. Not to mention the OSD menu was one of the worst designed things I've ever had the displeasure of using, and it would sometimes just reset itself to previous settings. Wild.
I contacted dell support about it. Sent pictures. Did all the things. They tried telling me it was physical damage and not covered by my warranty - which it's still under.
While it's been a fine monitor, I'll never buy another dell or Alienware product again just because I'm so irritated with their support.
