for people confused (understandably) this is expensive because it is 4k, high refresh, 32 inch, while also being minimal LED. it has over 1000 local dimming zones. this is a still developing range for monitors. its the only really high end alternative to OLED. and for people like me that use monitors for both gaming and work, OLED really isn't an option due to burn in (and lesser extent, text clarity).
pros cons of mini LED vs OLED:
pros:
- no burn in
- better text clarity on windows due to more traditional sub pixel layout
-higher brightness
cons:
-worse motion handling
-blooming (1000 dimming zones is still thousands of pixels per zone)

Fair points, but its beyond retarded to pay $1100 for this. It should be $600 tops. Absolute tops

If this was not min LED, you would be correct, for regular IPS, you can get a very solid panel for $500-600.
Also, my older brother is autistic. He is fully dependent for his care, cannot speak, cannot feed himself, cannot walk. He is 40 years old this year. I've spent thousands of hours caring for him. Changing diapers, carrying him up stairs, feeding him. Consider finding a different word to describe people who buy monitors you consider overpriced.

Autistic and retarded are not synonyms.

Is burn in REALLY a concern with new generation OLED though? And blurry text MA, especially at the 27" to 32" range, that's high DPI range

I work from home 4 days a week so I'll have static windows elements on ~35 hours a week. I also use a work issued laptop so will be limited on the software I can install to reduce burn in (or correct for OLED sub pixel clarity). and I would like a monitor to last 5 or more years. so yes, absolutely burn in is a real concern. if I was looking for a gaming only display, I'd defo have already bought an OLED
