The Greenworks Pro model 2502402NV and the Greenworks model 2544802 are both 80V 21-inch self-propelled lawnmowers, with the primary difference being the included battery configuration and the generation of the motor. The 2502402NV is often sold with a single 5.0 Ah battery, while the 2544802 is more commonly sold with a single 4.0 Ah battery. The 2502402NV is a newer model with Greenworks' Gen 2 "Trubrushless" motor, which offers improved performance over the previous generation.

Greenworks Pro model 2502402NV warranty 3 year tool and two year battery warranty. It uses Smartcut which is automatic adjustment of the blade speed.to save power. My ancient Kobalt push mower (made by Greenworks, rebranded for Lowes) after eight years I believe, is still running but the wheel bearings are now stripping out). Manual link from Green works site for this model that's sold out. Link is at bottom of page https://www.greenworkstools.com/p...r-open-box
Greenworks model 2544802 4 years labor and parts. It has turbo, where you manually press a handle button to increase blade speed, but I cannot find any mention of Smartcut. Manual towards the bottom of the page https://www.greenworkstools.com/p...ry-charger

I've looked at this a couple of times. Less maneuverable, wider cut. Dual battery.

Big issue. The gear box from the motor to the blades uses four plastic gears. One person who had one stripped was unable to find parts. Consistently comes up about getting parts. They don't need them a lot, but when they do they are unreliable. I am mowing two acres, having my Kobalt wheels going bad in eight years - that's a LOT of lawn mowing, especially as I have two more acres of flood plain that gets cut a couple of times a year

Hitting something with a directly driven blade can bend the shaft. With a gearbox, it should be better because you just have to replace the shaft to a blade, and any gears that were damaged. But if the parts are unavailable, then the added complexity (and cheap construction) without parts means your mower just as dead no matter what you hit, if it's shaft bending hard. Plus now you have the gearbox simply failing, adding an entirely new point of failure.

I have this self propelled lawnmower, and I got both an 80V blower and 80V trimmer at the same time. They've all been great. Each device came with at least one battery so now I definitely have enough energy to get me through a mow, trim, and cleanup. Generally, I just push rather than let the mower self propel, and I think that makes the batteries last longer on a single charge. If your plan is to self-propel, and if you have a yard of any size; you'll need a second charged battery before you start mowing.
