With that said, I've had an Oupes 2400 for two years and it's a champ. Zero issues. I'd buy from them again if I didn't want to build my own (and they are $578 on Walmart's site right now, about half what I paid two years ago).
Well it's an all in one solution, you need wires/breakers and a bunch of different bits to put together your own system. 5kw battery is roughly 800 bucks, plus a 5kw hybrid inverter is another 500. so you can put together a 5kw system for 1300 plus wires and breakers, probably 1500 at the end of the day. This is all in one 3kw for 1100.... it actually is really close to what you would get had you DIY. The bigger unit Mega 5 is roughly 2k, which is 500 bucks more than a DIY version.

Not to thread crap at all, but just fyi for those who don't know much about this stuff... this is 256 amp hours. You could get two 150Ah batteries for roughly $200 each plus a very solid inverter for $200 and have a 300Ah system for ~$600. Yes, this Oupes is much sleeker and sexier and way more mobile.

This OUPES Mega 3 or Mega 5 is only output 120V with TT-30 AC CONNECTOR, which mean that you CAN NOT directly hook up to breaker panel. Because breaker panel needs 240V split phrase. So you have to buy a "VICTRON AUTO TRANSFORMER", which is cost $400 - $600.

Most people getting something like this is not trying to hook it up directly to the panel. They probably already have a transfer switch with a generator ready 14-50 outlet installed by an electrician (or self-installed). Couldn't you hook up the tt-30 outlet to your home 14-50 outlet if you had the right cable/adapter?
Here is video show you how to convert 120v to 240v split phase with Victron Auto Transformer:

It works well. Used all 4 solar panels in parallel and I was charging at 800watts (solar was at 240watts each). Also, when I initally started to charge stuff, I had issues, but then realized that there are breakers on the side panel and they just needed to be flipped up. For the price, it was really good. I think you can double stack discounts so you can find stuff online. I used "thelabguys" for 5% discount.
Pretty good so far.
