i own this for more than 2 years: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08NPHZ...in_title_3. left it at home most of the time. needed to use it to jump a dead car twice. never recharged it and still has 3 out of 4 lights of juice left. dependable imo, but it was around 50 bucks.for 18 bucks from this post, i just bought one and gave the old one to my BIL, who needs it more than i do as he has a 20 year old car.

For under $20 I figured I'd give it a try. I tested it out this morning on my Escalade and it works.

I also tried the short circuit protection by touching both of the clips together. There was a short beep and then a ton of Sparks so the short circuit protection does not work. Keep in mind if this safety feature is important to you.

I've been working with cars for over 50 years so this is not something that is a deal breaker for my use case.

I bought it last time mainly for the claimed 2000 lumens light, used it to work on my engine bay, it has two hooks and strong magnets on the back thus pretty easy to mount, the output is more like a regular 60w incandescent light bulb, so 600-800 lumens at the best, lasted a long time between each charge, even it is well below claimed 2000 lumens, I still think it worth $18

Seems well built as well specifically the metal reinforced clamps most of these units have plastic clamps that break after so many uses.

These types of products are only designed to give you enough power to start the motor by supplying power to the starter through the battery terminals. Charging a dead battery needs to be done by a dedicated charger or through the vehicle's alternator.

got mine today. It had two lights for charge indicator when I unboxed it. My van battery was dead from sitting for several weeks in the drive. It started it without issue. I have several others including the GooLoo 4000.
I bought two for gifts. It worked today.

First I also thought this was a weird comment, but then read the title again: "jump starter AND power bank". The last time I needed to jump a car was years ago.
