it would be a different story if 5070ti need dlss to match the 9070xt frame rate, but that's not the case here.
compare the market price new at this moment, the 5070 ti is about 20 dollar more than 9070xt... i honestly don't see any reason anyone would buy the 9070xt, or regular 9070 over the 530 dollar 5070.
Is it better then RTX 5070Ti ?
it was like 2% slower than a 5070ti the last retest that Hardware Unboxed did. Though often have higher minimums
Nvidia will be faster on heavier raytracing games
AMD will be faster on CPU limited scenarios (e.g Battlefield)
saying something is 4k gaming gpu and other is not is quite generic. and everyone has their favorite website to backup their claims.
i happen to use techpowerup benchmark where they test using 20ish most relevant games every year and run at 1080, 2k and 4k without frame generation.
and according to their database, the 5070Ti is about 3% faster at 1080 and 2k, and 4% faster at 4k. given the 5070TI on amazon or new egg is now at 750 USD, and 9070XT is at 700 at the cheapest (and if you go by amazon, they are the same price at 750). i fail to see any reason to buy the 9070xt.
and between the 5070 and 9070, the 9070 is about 8% faster across the board, but that's also 13% more expensive (going buy 600 dollar 9070 that is). let alone most of the games has better NVDA support.
My system has two AMD cards, so it is not like i am biased, but I bought AMD cards at the time because it was the best value, and AMD at this moment simply doesn't represent the best value.

The base 5070 is not a 4K gaming GPU, the Rx 9070 XT is a 4K gaming GPU. The $549 RX 9070 beats the 5070 by a pretty wide margin. I can see plenty of reasons to get the AMD over the 5070 and the 5070 Ti. Price and performance.
perhaps we should first point out where that 549 RX9070 is? because as far as i can tell, it is 600. is that 549 RX9070 available to the most? whereas the 5070 is at 520 (amazon prime) or 550 on amazon

9000 series benchmarks need to be taken with a grain of salt, driver updates have improved their performance. Nvidia has been dropping the ball on drivers recently. I upgraded to a rx 9070 this year, as driver updates were breaking my rtx 4060.
