of course you could put a trickle charger on this to charge your car, but why are you trolling?

So seeing these deals has made me start to think I should look into this more. How capable is this setup and what could you expect as an offset on your utilities with it?

Oh, an electric car. now I got it. some people use little solar chargers for maintaining their battery on a non-electric. I apologize. being that this will only add maybe a few thousand watts or a little bit more a day, and a electric car's battery pack is rather huge{
(150kwhr or more), this would not be a good fit for trying to recharge an electric car. I would recommend at least a thousand watt system so it would be producing probably three to five kilowatt hours a day. that would not be enough to recharge but honestly, plugging it into the house would be much more economical. The cost of the infrastructure if you don't use it a lot is totally not worth the effort.

ev typically gets about 3-4 miles per kw. So theoretically it should get three or four miles per hour charge on 10 hours it could charge maybe 30 or 40 mi which would probably be enough for someone who just does local
