These are decent bits, but like all these, are considered expendable. These are among the best out there and are made in Taiwan. If you want the best Makita has to offer, consider the Makita "Impact Gold" bits found here: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Makit.../303951018 (Made in Japan).
Not on sale, but if you use these often, these are the longest lasting bits I've ever used in any application that requires a PH2 drive and I have used many from most all the big name brands with Bosch being the only real other winner.

Take note: only the #1 Phillips is on sale. Most screw heads you'll see and use are #2 Phillips.

Do they still manufacture impact gold? Definitely was my favorite bits but I was only ever able to find one set. My go-to now is Vessel impact ball torsion bits. Sets are expensive but you can buy them in bulk in 25 if packs on ebay for $25 if you plan on doing a big project using T25 or something.

Unsure, but I hope so. I bought 4 packs of these about a year ago and still using them. I'm sure the OE for them is Anex/Vessel/Sunflag, all very good Japanese tool brands.

Pretty sure Project Farm rated Milwaukee Shockwave as best Phillips bit.

Yes, I use the #2 version of this bit in regular drills frequently

Ah, yes, I always want my bits to have torque absorbing power rings. My last bits only had torsion consuming golden coins, and they just kept stomping on the screws til the threads stripped out. Really annoying.

I assume these also gotta go fast?
