According to the camels, these things were listed for $160 at one point. I refuse to believe anyone paid $160 for cardboard "drawers" wrapped in fabric that look like wood. Well, maybe they did, but hopefully they returned after they realized what they bought.

$40 seems like it should be the MSRP based on what the review images are showing.

They list it at ridiculous prices so that they can claim it's a 75% off sale. No one actually buys it at that price. They probably set the price high while giving away free ones in exchange for reviews (and thereby claiming a bigger tax write off), and/or have several listings for the exact same product so that they can have one be high while the other is low to reinforce the idea that it's a really food deal.
With that said, $40 is reasonable for this. These kind of cabinets aren't built to last, but there are definitely times when it makes sense to go cheap rather than buying for life (dorm rooms for example).
