This is largely a novelty item, but if you just want a "bladeless" (hidden) fan, it's not bad for that. Its purifying ability is bad, however, it will send cleaner air at you than a normal dirty fan would so that's a plus.

Don't look at this as a room purifier because it isn't doing that well.

A lot of speculations here with no tests or comparison reports to back up the claims, either positive or negative. There are videos of air purifiers cleaning dust, smoke, smell and pathogens in an enclosed clear boxes, until I see the results in those videos I wouldn't get any purifier for purifying reasons. However, if you want to keep your home dust free, or at least fewer cleaning sessions like having dust accumulate on TV stands, coffee tables etc I can vouch for $100-$130 typical Costco or other purifiers, I can visibly see difference. So no need to spend extra. However if you have bad air, pollutants or other pm2.5 or any pm x.x category, or have VOCs, definitely get a proper air purifier not something with a filter in front of a box!

I would stay away from this tbh. I have a similar version to this from Dyson and it went bad after a year maybe year and a hafl. Its a cool futuristic looking item but quality is terrible.
