I have a linked backpack like this and use it daily for 8 years and it still hasn't shown any signs of wear even though i treat it like shit. actually does make a good grocery bag. especially on the motorcycle

It was originally developed as a climbing backpack and is super streamlined and simplified. Oversized top handles make it easy to clip to the wall at belay stations and the large opening is easy to get gear in and out of. All my buddies who climb with this pack love it.
