This is a great deal and all you have to do is add apple care one.
Did I really need it? No. But I had to move over to the Apple ecosystem due to family and work so out went Android/Windows, so may as well get this behemoth.

M3 Max at this price is probably worth it if M5 Macbook isn't until early next year and the Macbook after that will be the redesign.
Just received mine today (silver.) It arrived with a dead battery and the chassis and trackpad appear warped, as if the battery is swelling. The device otherwise appears to be in new condition. It does have an Apple warranty, so I am taking it to the Apple Store to be checked out.
how were you able to verify it had an apple warranty?

To clarify, the device powers on. The battery was dead (out of power), not broken. It holds a charge.
