It's a decent deal for a mid-range productivity desktop. The sweet spot for Core i5 / Ryzen 5-based PCs (the midrange family of processors) used to be $400 the last several years. But lately, we haven't seen many non-gaming, productivity deals at all. Desktops with discrete video cards (RTX 4060 / 5060 and higher) are much more common that before. This inflates the price for those who are not interested in gaming capabilities and could make do with onboard graphics or a low-end GPU.

How does this compare to the same config direct from Dell with any applicable discounts? And where does it list the PSU spec, I cannot find it.

Edit, looks like the same config on the Dell site is $100 MORE than this.

The PSU may not support any GPUs. If it does, it'll only support GPUs with one PCIe connector (150w max) which means it'll have enough power for your setup.

Where can you get the drive caddy for this? Reviews state that Dell revised the manual to state they do not include it in the case anymore, and users state that dell claims the part is not available

This thing is super overkill for productivity, unless that productivity includes Photoshop or using heavy CPU applications.

Then it has proprietary PSU that probably means you can't use a GPU with this.

I really don't get computers like this.

Cheap used enterprise PCs or those Chinese mini PCs would be a better value for most people using this for simple office or personal tasks.

I don't understand why this always gets mentioned for office PCs. I assume you want a gaming PC. Then why not just build a dedicated gaming PC yourself? Honestly curious, not trolling.

any suggestions of where to get used business desktops? i presume when you say enterprise, you mean dell optiplex or hp elitedesk?

You can run an SSD off the unused SATA, if you just need extra storage for files, right? Just there is no second M2 slot.
