At this price point for an ARM laptop, I like this HP from Microcenter. OLED screen is the biggest difference I can see in the specs unless I'm missing something.

I'm guessing that they're clearing out old inventory; Dell is retiring the Inspiron brand.

It's actually much more than that. AI can generate a song that you describe, generate a renaissance style painting of your family, plan out a vacation for you specifically tailored to your preferences, turn a still photo into a video (or generate a video that you describe), write the code for an application you've been dreaming up. Copilot+ PCs allow you to run certain AI-powered features privately, locally, for free, and in a power efficient manner, so you don't need to subscribe to an online service and send all your private info to some company's server. Wikipedia can't do any of these things.

I bought this online using the above link, but it was only $499 ($300 off). I'm really disappointed that Adobe hasn't delivered native versions of Illustrator or Acrobat Pro yet, but this laptop is pretty ideal otherwise. Great battery life, responsive performance, and all the features and production value that you expect from a Dell laptop. Of course, the new Snapdragon Elite X2 chipsets were just announced yesterday, but those aren't going to be available until the first half of 2026...and they won't be selling for $499.
