Any compatible and clean inverters to use this as a UPS? Would love to toss it in the bottom of my A/V/Network rack and get rid of the 4x cyberpower's I have there with their lead acid batteris...

Edit to note the setup would need to be able to charge off of A/C, 120V. I've already got a few powerwalls for the house but am looking at more cost effective ways to add storage capacity/spread the storage out rather than add powerwalls ($$$).

you could get an all in one power station instead of this, unless you're looking to be able to increase capacity later on, or want this form factor. I use a 3kwh mango power E as a UPS for my networking setup and during peak hours. I also use a 5kwh oukitel p5000 as another UPS for peak hours.

With these types of systems, if I needed to add or replace one 10 years from now, how likely is it that eco-worthy will still make a compatible unit?
that is a very tricky question because just earlier this year I bought 4 V2 from them and not even a month and a half 2 months later they come out with V3 which is not compatible with V2 so now I'm stuck with them and not able to upgrade
Sorry to hear that. Reading through some forums it sounds like V1, V2, and V3 are supposed to be compatible, but they changed the terminal locations so that it's hard to daisy chain?

That's the type of annoyance that makes me want to DIY my own system.

Ideally would be this form factor as I can slot it right into my rack, and expand upon it if I ever want/need. The $/kWh is not quite as favorable as the all-in-ones but then again they dont really seem to make an inverter that does what Im looking for anyways so the comparison is null....

There are rackmount 48VDC -> 120VAC inverters out there, in 1-3U form factors. I found a bunch with a quick Google search. Is that what you're looking for?

What's the cheapest way to integrate this and qualify for the Federal tax rebate?

So I'll ask it... from my checks it looks like this is a relatively solid deal on the capacity here... I'm wondering if I paired this with Will Prowse's recommended inverter... seems like a solid offgrid option. Any opinions on the pricing and whether its worth it?

So I'm looking at setting this up with a Sungold Power unit that Will recommended due tot he pricing. I had been thinking about the EG4, but I think I may skip it based on the discussions of the Sungold for off grid. 3 of these combined with a 10k inverter seems like an excellent option. Thanks for the help/insight on it.

I was recently told by Signature Solar and Shop Solar that the new code for new installs requires the inverter and battery to be certified together as one unit and even though this battery is UL certified by itself you can't get it approved for a grid tied application.
That's just hostile (benefiting the big manuf. and some elec co. that are anti-solar). Oh well, screw them-- if you've got the batteries you have much less incentive to be tied to grid anyway
This is my constant concern... the more i look the more I think its best to just size a separate off grid battery + inverter + solar solution and just tell em to pound sand.

only issue is it doesn't play well with v2. can't get closed loop to work together.

Yes and no: it seems that for efficiency/safety/battery health (and other reasons, I'm still learning) you want the minimum number of BMS units and/or you want them talking to each other (so ideally just a few large BMS units that also communicate with each other to keep all cells in system balanced). I'm just a layman getting up to speed in this area so please fact-check me, experts
battery balancers hc02 ha02 solves that for ~$40-50. I've got 4 of the 280ah in 4s one 1 leg of my 240v. other leg is currently 4s-165ah DChouse and 4s -DJLBEERMPW. I'm going to switch that leg to 4s 280ah and then use the current batts as a backup for extended period of rainy days since I cut my grid power.
