Received my order today (Bass 35, H1 Pro).
It's hard to recommend either, even at these prices.

I didn't have real high hopes, but these are just not good headphones in any way that you look at them.

The only positive is that the ANC on the H1 pro is decent. Sound quality on both models is terrible.
P.s. Zero bass from the Bass 35

Jumped on the H1 pro 3 for $50. I work outside and need a mic, but also appreciate the over ear style to drown out the machines. I've got 2 co-workers who are gonna be thrilled.

Should be an upgrade, or at least a nice alternative to earbuds. Well worth the chance at this price.

Thanks for the feedback. I was considering the H1 Pro, since it seemed like a decent deal at $20 for what it offers.

That's a tough one. I don't think there's much out there around the $20 price point. My lack of recommendation is more from the perspective of spending that $20 toward something better (and slightly more expensive). There are a bunch of youtube review roundups for budget headphones. I personally don't have any of them.If you have nothing to compare them to and can't spend much more, then maaaaybe give the H1 model a shot. Like I said, the ANC seems pretty solid, even compared to $150+ headphones I've used. A quick return to Walmart wouldn't be the end of the world.I had tested out both models right after using my Bose QC35s while cutting the grass, so it may have been a pretty unfair comparison.The sound profile just felt very flat, even after messing with the EQ presets.

Great answer and evaluation. People don't realize that spending even dollar 1 on something that would last a few years but will make you crave for something better in a few weeks is just money wasted... that or keep compromising for the few years that these will last.

I definitely understand that there likely isn't anything at the ~$20 range, but was open to something perhaps in the $20-40 range. This would just be for listening to YouTube/Podcasts around the house, in the garage, and near bedtime - so not for anything important. I also don't particularly care for ANC for my use case.

I agree with the comment of putting the money towards something of better quality that would last longer. This goes doubly so for anything you depend on daily, especially if it's involved in how you earn your living. I see this a lot for low-end laptops, for example, where spending ~20-30% more can get you a model that is 50-100% better in performance.

At the same time, it helps to know of certain products that are good benchmarks for a "quality floor" and/or are "fit for purpose". Because it's all too easy to end up shopping for items that are several times your original price range, when you were just looking for something that was secondary or "nice to have".

As we're nearing Black Friday and the shopping season, there are bound to be similar offerings.

Was gonna pull the trigger on this but said I'd do it later, but then I saw this comment. I had never heard of this model and tbh $20 for ANC seemed too good to be true lol.

What exactly makes the sound quality terrible in your opinion, for the $20 H1 Pro? Poor soundstage? Frequency response? Is the audio too tinny, like the treble output is far too high or produces sibilant sounds? Is it overly bassy, too the point of drowning out the midrange such as vocals and instruments and treble? I read in another comment that you said it sounds 'flat'. Could you please elaborate on what you mean by it sounding flat? Does that just mean balanced frequency output without emphasizing bass, midrange or treble, or something else?

Threw them back on to get another listen. Take my feedback for what it is - just a random dude on slickdeals. The highs are way too punchy. Literally hurts my ears when cranked up... which I feel you need to do with these to get any output. I tried different EQs as well as a custom, but had a similar result. These are just very top-heavy, with no lows. I can't speak to any technical aspects, but I feel disconnected from the music with these. I jumped back and forth on the same track between these and my Bose headphones and certain instruments were completely missing or muted with these. Should these be comparable to $200 headphones? Absolutely not, but helps to explain what I'm getting at. The flatness comment comes from the feeling that you're FAR away from the music. It's not immersive. You sound like you have a lot more technical background and could be a better judge.

1000% agree. These feel extremely flat. While the build quality is surprisingly good. The sound is disappointing. The EQ is near pointless. For 20 bucks they are good knock arounds. I haven't tested the mic yet, but sound wise. I think they are worth the 20 bucks just don't expect any miracles. Would probably recommend you spring 10-20 more for JBL or Soundcores.
