just bought mine for 120, keep looking for deals. love this thing it's fast. for those that say it has bad range, that because your exclusively using 6g mode. you have to enable MLO mode via computer (can't do it in the app) and use that mode. range and sped far superior. then only connect your devices to the MLO access point name

have 2 of these in a mesh and don't really like it. speeds are great if you're on the same floor as the device. signal strength isn't that great either and also had random dropped connections and buffering on devices. ended up switching to a gli flint 2 and things are so much better. don't even need a mesh set up anymore. the flint 2 signal reach is wide.

I have 2 that I'm looking to sell. if anyone is interested.

that's because your not using MLO mode. your using 6gh mode only which of course has lower range. mlo mode connects 2.4\5\6 all at that same time.

I get slower speeds on mlo that's why I use the 5g or 6g

Why'd you get the Flint 2 instead of the Flint 3?

I got the flint 2 cause the flint 3 had just came out and I wasn't sure how well it would work but the flint 2 had solid reviews. So I just went with the 2. I did order a flint 3 since the reviews look decent. waiting for it to come in to test and if it does work better will return the flint 2.

Sounds good! Reviews I've seen indicate the Flint 3 has a less powerful processor and as a result VPN isn't as fast. The Flint 2 seems like the better pick if you want the very best VPN performance. But if you must have WiFi 7 capability, then Flint 3 is the easy pick.

Both routers look pretty good to me. I think most folks would be happy with either. Good luck, you have a difficult choice to make between two compelling options!

thanks! yeah I don't really need the fast vpn performance. really just want a router that gives me good speeds and covers the house. also don't want to hear the wife keep telling me the internet keeps going out lolhoping the flint 3 works well enough.

I'm confident the Flint 3 will work well. Not sure why GL.iNet gimped the processor in it, but everything else about it seems good.
