It's almost a gaming laptop but selling for regular laptop prices. I was looking for ryzen 6000 series for a while because the iGPU is pretty solid on those.

The specs/$ ratio is excellent, but this marketing text from the product photo is absolutely terrifying:

"AMD Ryzen R5 6600H

High-performance computing tasks like video editing or gaming/business are make more faster"

😱

Shopping for a basic Win 11 laptop because TurboTax announced this year's version will not be supported on my HP Win 10 machine (not upgradeable). Will this one do it without much pain? Currently, the other alternatives on the short list are the HP Omnibook 5 AI 5 or AI 7 with AMD Ryzen at Staples and Costco but even those seem like overkill for the task. The recent $119 HP deal would have been sweet if it was real.

I just picked up a refurbished laptop directly from the manufacturer on eBay. It was listed at $400, but with a coupon it came out to about $350 after taxes. The I have has a 17.3-inch screen, 32GB of RAM, a Ryzen 5500 (if I'm remembering right), a fingerprint scanner, more USB ports, a number pad, a backlit keyboard, and a 1TB SSD.

The Dell I bought a week before this one was an openbox deal from Microcenter for $250. It had a Ryzen 7730U, 16GB of RAM, a 16-inch screen, 1TB SSD, and a backlit keyboard. Honestly, I really liked that laptop the only thing I didn't care for was that it didn't have a number pad. That's what made me jump on the Nemo one when I saw it.

So far, after a week, it's been working great. My only issue is that I can't sign in with my student account to use Microsoft 365, but I'm pretty sure that's a problem on my college's end and not the laptop itself. On top of that, it came with a 2or 3 year warranty.
